Epsom & Ewell Harriers Race Report

In a mixture or warm sunshine and heavy rain Epsom & Ewell Harriers made the trip to Rushmoor Arena on Saturday 21st September for the annual South of England Road Relay Championships. The SEAA event is a highlight of the autumn road calendar, drawing clubs from across the region to test themselves in the classic relay format. With fast tarmac loops, a lively atmosphere, and top-class competition, Aldershot once again provided the perfect stage.

Veterans & Juniors

Each runner tackled the 6.0 km loop with determination and whilst the teams was outside the top placings, there were encouraging performances across the board, including some of our younger athletes holding their own against seasoned competitors.

Our women’s team contested the four-stage race and delivered a spirited effort, finishing solidly in the pack.

Highlights & Reflections

All in all, it was a rewarding outing at Aldershot. While the headlines belonged to some of the region’s powerhouse clubs, Epsom & Ewell Harriers can take pride in a solid team effort, valuable experience gained, and the promise of even stronger showings in the seasons ahead.
